Keep your intruder alarm properly serviced and tested to secure your property



It’s vital to keep your security system in good working order to reduce false alarms and to ensure that the alarm will be raised in the event of a break-in.

The maintenance check includes:

  •  Testing of the control panel for communications to the monitoring centre, sirens, tampers and strobe lights
  • Inspecting and testing the operation of all detection devices
  • Checking the power supply
  • Verifying that no compromise to devices has occured (compromise of devices could be from building alterations, partitions, furniture or other obstacles)
  • Testing the batteries on remotes and wireless sensors

Ask the following questions:

  • What is their hourly service rate?
  • Do they charge for travel time? What is that rate?
  • What partial hour increments do they bill? (15 min; 30 min)
  • Do they you have a minimum service call charge?
  • Do they charge more for “off hour” service? What is that rate?
